Jerry Martin’s professional journey has always been guided by a simple but powerful philosophy: lead with integrity, earn trust, and serve people well. His time at the U.S. Naval Academy helped sharpen those values early on, emphasizing professionalism, accountability, and respect for others, principles that would carry through every stage of his career.
Those foundations propelled Jerry into banking, where he rose through the ranks to become the youngest bank president in California at the time. Despite being told what he couldn’t achieve due to the color of his skin, he focused on work ethic, performance, and reputation. Over time, his leadership earned the confidence of colleagues, boards, and the communities he served, ultimately resulting in his appointment as president.
Trust and respect have remained central throughout Jerry’s career, including his transition into real estate more than 30 years ago. With a strong background in finance and a natural ability to connect with people, he found real estate to be a profession built on relationships and responsibility. Over three decades with REMAX, his leadership at the local, state, and organizational levels has been rooted in service, viewing brokers as the clients he works for.
