Melissa Heede Returns to REMAX Gold
Melissa earned her real estate license in 2003. After building a strong foundation in corporate sales with companies like Eastman Kodak Company, Xerox, and American Express, she saw real estate as a temporary career shift. More than two decades later, that temporary plan has evolved into a 23-year career rooted in relationships, resilience, and a genuine love for helping people navigate major life decisions.
In her corporate roles, Melissa valued client interaction and problem-solving, but real estate gave her something deeper. “I get more connection here,” she said. “More opportunity to build relationships and really help people get where they want to be.” Guiding buyers and sellers through one of the most important financial decisions of their lives has proven far more fulfilling than she ever expected.
Over the years, Melissa has worked through every type of market cycle, tight inventory, surplus listings, shifting interest rates, and even the uncertainty of COVID. “For me, it was business as usual,” she says. “There’s always something changing in this industry. If it’s not low inventory, it’s something else. You just stay positive and find a way to make it work.” That steady optimism continues to shape her outlook. She describes herself as “very excited” and “very optimistic” about the current year, confident that mindset plays a major role in success.
“I always felt at home at REMAX Gold,” Melissa said. “It still feels comfortable. It feels like where I belong.”
Now joining the Sierra Oaks office, Melissa is focused not only on growing her own business but also on strengthening office culture. She believes connection between agents is essential. “Energy matters,” she says. “We need to share stories, talk through challenges, and learn from each other. That’s how we grow.”
This new chapter also includes a personal upgrade: a dedicated office space of her own. Having a professional place to work allows her to focus, collaborate, and fully separate work from home life. “You have to be excited about what you do,” she says. “And I am. It hasn’t gotten old.”
