More than 30 years ago, Leanne Smith stepped into Real Estate searching for direction. What she found was a career that would demand resilience, adaptability, and relentless determination. “It was a lot harder than I expected,” she said. “It took me two to three years just to get a grip on it.” Without formal training or a roadmap, she relied on one defining trait: grit. As a single mother of three young children at the time, failure simply wasn’t an option. “I had to figure it out.”
That mindset carried her through the early years, where she was already closing 20 to 30 transactions annually, an impressive feat, especially at the time. But it wasn’t until she invested in coaching that her business truly transformed. From her first coach, Mike Ferry, to years of ongoing mentorship, Leanne committed herself to continuous growth. “Every time I wanted to level up, I found the right coach,” she said. “I’ve been coached for 25 years, and I still am today.”
After navigating the high-volume REO market during the 2008 housing crisis, Leanne found herself ready for a new chapter. That vision came to life in 2021 with the launch of her current team, built with intention and experience. Leanne had teams before, but this time Leanne focused on structure, systems, and support. From transaction coordination to listing concierge services, she created an environment where agents could focus on what they do best: production. “I built the team based on what I knew top producers actually need,” she said.
The results speak for themselves. Consistently ranked among the top in the market and earning multiple awards, Leanne credits her team for their shared success. “It’s not me. It’s my team. They work incredibly hard,” Leanne said.
In a constantly shifting market, her approach remains rooted in adaptability. “You have to be willing to pivot,” she said. “What worked a year ago doesn’t necessarily work today.” Through regular training, market analysis, and a commitment to learning, her team stays ahead of the curve.
But for Leanne, success today is defined differently than it once was. While production and accolades still matter, her true motivation lies in impact. Whether through mentoring agents, supporting her community, or giving back to causes like Children’s Miracle Network, her focus has shifted from personal achievement to meaningful contribution.

Outside of real estate, Leanne finds joy in time with her growing family, and in her love for vintage treasure hunting. “I just like the thrill of finding something special,” she said.
