Ann Nordling: Over Forty Years of Incredible Service
Ann Nordling has never built her real estate career by chasing rankings or tracking every metric. Instead, she has focused on showing up consistently, serving clients with integrity, and adapting as the industry evolves. That approach is what recently earned her one of the highest honors in the REMAX network: the REMAX Luminary of Distinction Award.
Presented to a select group of professionals nationwide, the award recognizes long-term impact, leadership, and sustained excellence. For Ann, it offered something rare, a meaningful benchmark in a career defined more by daily work than public recognition.
“Real estate is such a day-to-day business,” Ann shared. “You’re focused on your clients and the work in front of you. This award gave me a moment to look back and see the cumulative impact of all those years.”
Ann’s career spans nearly four decades, beginning in 1985 while she was still in college. She worked alongside Seattle’s first REMAX agent and became part of the city’s first REMAX team. Over the years, she has witnessed major market shifts, economic downturns, and dramatic changes in technology, yet the core of the business, she believes, has remained the same.
“It’s always been about people helping people make one of the biggest decisions of their lives,” she said. “The tools change, but the relationships don’t.”
That perspective has helped Ann navigate multiple market cycles, from the downturns of the 1990s to the dot-com crash and even purchasing her business just one week before COVID shut the state down. Experience, she says, brings confidence and resilience.
Today, Ann is the owner and managing broker of the TriStar Team. Her leadership philosophy centers on example, support, and accountability. “There’s nothing I would ask my team to do that I haven’t done myself,” she explained. She believes strong teams are built through training, trust, and consistent investment in people.
Beyond real estate, Ann credits balance as a key factor in her longevity. An accomplished saxophone player, she stays deeply connected to her community and believes being human, not just professional, strengthens client relationships and trust.
Receiving the Luminary of Distinction Award, Ann says, is both humbling and affirming. “It’s a unique perspective on my career,” she noted. “It reflects the work done over time, not just one moment.”
“Truly a hard-earned and well-deserved recognition for such an iconic and greatly respected real estate professional. We are so proud of her accomplishments and offer our congratulations to the entire team!” – Jerry Martin, Executive Vice President: REMAX Equity Group | Integrity | Northwest
As she looks ahead, Ann remains focused on learning, adapting, and putting people first, the same principles that have guided her for over 40 years and earned her a place among the most respected professionals in the REMAX network.
