Kathleen has never been afraid of hard work or new challenges. Her career began at a law firm, where she worked as a receptionist for five years before moving to Idaho and taking on an executive support role for a therapeutic boarding school system. There she managed schedules for multiple therapists and a psychologist, coordinated meetings, and handled departmental budgets, an experience that sharpened her organization and communication skills. After a period back in the legal field, where she worked as a legal secretary and earned her paralegal certificate, she realized she wanted something more: a career that allowed her to make a difference, have fun, and maintain balance for her family.
Encouraged by a friend and supported by her father, who had a long career in sales, she took the leap into real estate. It was intimidating to move from a steady paycheck to commission-based work, but the risk paid off. Over the past 20 years, she has built a fulfilling career, earning Masters Club recognition multiple times, working alongside her husband, and helping countless families navigate one of the most important decisions of their lives.
Kathleen says her favorite part of real estate is the lives you get to change. “One of my most favorite purchases was a young man who had a small family and knew he needed to provide a home for them. We found a home, and when he was the lender's office, they were discussing the terms and conditions of the loan. He started crying, the lender asked what was wrong. He told her a few years before this he had been homeless for 7 years, and he prayed he would be able to have a home of his own one day. Fast forward to where he was, his dream of home ownership was becoming a reality. He and his family are still in that home, and it's been about 10 years. His little girl will never know what it was like for him, which is a blessing. That is my favorite part, being a blessing to others so their dreams can come true.”– Kathleen Piazzisi
